A Titanium Rohloff trekking bicycle is virtually indestructible. Water and dustproof housing ensure minimal wear and tear and long maintenance intervals of approx. 5,000 kilometres. Traditional derailleur systems, on the other hand, require regular care and maintenance; in a harsh climate or when cycling in snow or rain even after every single ride. Furthermore, due to a lack of care and maintenance, derailleur systems require a replacement chain approximately every 3,000 kilometres.
On our Rohloff trekking bicycles you can even shift gears when standing still, which makes for an easier start. The shifting system is easy and intuitive and all gears can be changed quickly with one hand.
All our HILITE titanium frames are equipped with horizontally sliding drop-outs or eccentric bottom brackets to make sure that nothing bends and you don’t get stuck anywhere.

Faq's
Which drop bar shifters do you recommend?
Shimano and SRAM both work well. Shimano shifters require less force when shifting from the hoods, while SRAM has a shorter lever throw when shifting from the drops. It depends on your preference.
What has been improved from Hibox C1 to Hibox C2?

Can I also use SRAM GX or NX shifters?
Yes, but with limitations:
- You can only shift one gear at a time

My crank touches the Hibox. What should I do?
Make sure to pull the crank fully outward before tightening. For details, please refer to the Pinion crank installation guide.

Can I combine the Hibox C2 with mechanical brakes?
