The enclosed Rohloff SPEEDHUB is designed for long-distance use with a low maintenance requirement. It still needs regular servicing and oil changes according to Rohloff’s current instructions. Chain life depends on riding conditions, care and wear; a Gates belt is an alternative with a compatible frame and correctly aligned drivetrain.

On our Rohloff trekking bicycles you can even shift gears when standing still, which makes for an easier start. The shifting system is easy and intuitive and all gears can be changed quickly with one hand.

All our HILITE titanium frames are equipped with horizontally sliding drop-outs or eccentric bottom brackets to make sure that nothing bends and you don’t get stuck anywhere.
