Masterpiece Custom 32: Titanium, 32-Inch Wheels and Pinion Smart.Shift

Our next Masterpiece is taking shape in CAD: a custom-built titanium gravel bike with 32-inch wheels, Pinion Smart.Shift and equipment for long rides in all weather.

The idea behind it is a bike for people who want to keep going — on tarmac, gravel and well beyond an evening spin. The large wheels are intended to roll confidently over uneven ground and provide stable handling. We are developing a geometry tailored to the rider, the particular demands of 32-inch wheels and the intended use.

A Masterpiece frame — carefully considered in every detail

The Custom 32 is being developed as a titanium frame in our Masterpiece workshop series. In the 3D model, we already coordinate frame geometry, tyre clearance and component interfaces.

For the first build, we are planning:

• Pinion with Smart.Shift: electronic gear changes at the touch of a button, combined with a gearbox positioned centrally in the frame.
• Tyre clearance up to 2.4 inches: room for wide tyres that provide traction and comfort on rough ground. Actual clearance depends on the tyre profile and rim width.
• SON 29 S with 110 mm Boost spacing: for high-quality dynamo lighting, we plan to use the forthcoming 110 mm Boost version of the SON 29 S. Deliveries are expected to start in January 2027. This allows us to plan lighting for long tours without having to charge a separate lighting battery.
• Internal routing for lines and cables: routing through the titanium frame creates a clean appearance and protects the wiring.
• Integrated Smart.Shift charging socket: we plan to position a discreet, weather-protected charging connection for the shifting battery in the Pinion bridge.

Frame #2: Be involved from the beginning

Frame number 1 is already reserved. The next step is the transition from the CAD model to production.

For the second customer in the Custom 32 project, we offer a special price on the individually agreed build.
